Poso S agapo – Giannis Kotsiras

Giannis Kotsiras sings the song Poso s agapo, which translates to “How much I love you” in English.

Poso s’ agapo is a Greek song composed by Manos Loizos with lyrics written by Lefteris Papadopoulos.

The song Poso s agapo was originally heard in 1972, in a Greek movie called ” Aliki Dictator” by Aliki Vougiouklaki, a famous Greek actress.  It was recorded for the first time in 1980 by Dimitra Galani, in the album “Gia mia mera zois” (For a day of life).

Poso s agapo is a love song, a typical erotic and tender song in Greek music. It has been considered one of the best songs by Manos Loizos, due to its emotional and touching feeling.

We all tend to say poso s agapo when we love someone a lot. It is an expression that we use to say that basically we don’t set a limit to  our love, that we cannot count this love because it’s big and important to us.

The video chosen here is from a concert by Giannis Kotsiras, a tribute to the Greek lyricist Lefteris Papadopoulos, who was a close friend to Manos Loizos and have created together some of the most notable songs in Greek music.

Poso s’agapo has been performed by many singers, for example: Poso s’agapo – Dimitra Galani
