Eleftheria Arvanitaki will give a concert in Budapest on October 5th in the Bartók Béla National Concert Hall. Eleftheria Arvanitaki is among the most known Greek singers in the world.
Her charismatic personality has not just conquered international concert halls: she has been one of the most loved singers in her native country since the eighties. Her concerts offer a unique experience and you don’t have to know Greek not to be moved by the passion and clarity of her vocal style. She started in the late seventies, singing to friends in a taverna when her remarkable voice was discovered.
She sings traditional rebetika songs which is the most characteristic style of Greek urban music. Since then, she has established herself as one of the leading rembetika performers, but her repertoire extends from jazz to rock via African music and much else.
