Pepromeno – Giorgos Dalaras, Marinella

Giorgos Dalaras and Marinella sing a famous Greek song called Pepromeno, which stands for Destiny in English. Pepromeno belongs to the category of laika songs and refers to the common belief of something written in our lives, something that we have learned to call fate, destiny. It was heard in one of the successful TV series called Vammena Kokkina Mallia (Red Dyed hair).

Of course there is a huge discussion on whether man is so limited by his destiny ” we all have something written in our lives, called destiny and nobody can avoid it” . It is really like that? Are we really tied to our destiny, or is everything actually our way of influencing things? The truth is that we do have to be careful how we walk in life, plan our steps, but also be spontaneous and let that “something written” reveal the magic of life.

Giorgos Dalaras and Marinella met on stage a few years ago and gave us some magnificent performances in many known songs. This is one of the fortunate moments of their artistic meeting.
