Dinata Dinata – Eleftheria Arvanitaki

Eleftheria Arvanitaki sings Dinata Dinata, a famous Greek song which means “Strong Possibility” or simply “Possible”.

Dinata Dinata is a probably one of the most known and beloved Greek songs; whenever played the song manages to raise enthusiasm and spirits. It is a rather optimistic song, despite the fact that it has been written under weird circumstances.

Lina Nikolakopoulou, the lyric writer of the song, said that  she was watching on TV the broadcast from the Gulf War in1991. She saw those images of the missiles launched and the lyrics were born: “… so the Earth lights a match and throws it to the sky…”.

Dinata dinata is a song about not giving up, about creating and reviving hopes and dreams. If you find yourself in a concert of Eleftheria Arvanitaki, you will understand why this song managed to occupy such a place in the hearts of people. Rhythmic, intense and melodious, with vibrant and inspiring lyrics, Dinata Dinata gives us the impression that indeed “all the impossible things, have become possible…”.
